Philosophy & Commitments
However far,
always near
世界のどこかの、だれかのとなりに
Our work looks scattered: we build apps, care for eyelashes, and repair car bodies. But underneath, it comes down to one thing. We use our hands, as close as possible to someone who needs help.
That person may live in the same town or somewhere across the ocean, and we may not have met them yet. Either way, we want to stand next to them just the same. That single line is the spine of Claria Holdings.
Five values we work by
- Stand beside We do not judge someone's problem from the outside. We stand on their side of it, next to the treatment chair, inside the body shop, in front of the customer's own screen, and start the work from there.
- Use our hands We do not stop at analysis and proposals. We build. Designing is not the end of the job; building it, running it and fixing it are all part of the same work.
- Reliability over spectacle We would rather something work every day than impress once. Before we make anything faster, we make sure it can be stopped, reversed and checked. This is also how we design our software.
- Built from the floor What we build, we use ourselves first: the salon system, the body shop workflow, the e-commerce platform. All of them run in our own group every day. We do not sell what we do not use.
- Make it sustainable We replace dependence on one person's effort with structure. Forming a holding company is exactly that: a way to protect what each site does well while building a base the group can carry for a long time.
What we promise
Customers
We tell you honestly what we can and cannot do. We take responsibility for the finished work and keep it usable afterwards. We do not present something uncertain as if it were settled.
Colleagues
We make the scope of your responsibility clear and share the reasoning behind decisions. We protect time for developing skills and room to learn from mistakes, and we keep the distance between the floor and management short as the group grows.
Partners
We work with you as equals. Terms and deadlines are agreed in advance and we keep to them. We do not use unreasonable demands to take away a partner's margin.
Community
As a company based in Ichinomiya, Aichi, we create employment and pay taxes here. Compliance with the law and with social norms is a precondition of how we operate.
Five rules we return to
These five rules are common across the group. When we are not sure, we come back to them.
Never leave the person in front of you behind
When efficiency and someone's actual difficulty conflict, start from the difficulty.
Do not proceed by pretending to understand
We do not build on uncertain premises. We check first, then use our hands.
Make it stoppable before making it wider
Automation and new initiatives get a way to be halted and reversed before they are scaled.
Do not hide what went wrong
Problems shared early stay small. We do not penalise the person who reports them.
Treat law and social norms as preconditions
We do not cross a line we should hold for a short-term gain. When in doubt, we ask.
Message from the President
Claria Holdings brings together companies that each grew on their own, now joined under one intent: a company that solves problems with technology, a company that brings quality care into everyday life, a company that restores what has been damaged. The fields differ, but one attitude runs beneath all of them: meet the person in front of you honestly.
Through the years, what we have valued most is reliability over spectacle. We finish each piece of work carefully and build trust with our customers one job at a time. The other thing we hold to is that we do not sell what we do not use ourselves. The salon system, the body shop workflow and the e-commerce platform were all built because we needed them every day, and refined while we used them. The software business we are building directly grew out of that same habit.
We will continue to respect what each of our companies does well, while uniting the management base beneath them, so that the people who work here can do their best work and the group can keep contributing to this region. We would be grateful for your continued support.
The role of the holding company
Why hold three companies in different industries as one group? The answer is simple: the shape that fits best differs at every site, but the management base beneath them can be shared.
Each operating company decides for itself on the floor. The holding company exists to make those decisions faster, not to manage the businesses from above, but so each site can concentrate on its own work.
- Capital and investment decisions We set investment priorities across the group and take on investments a single operating company would find hard to make alone.
- A shared management base We standardise labour, accounting and legal processes so each company can concentrate on its business.
- Information systems We design and run the group's systems and data as one, so an improvement made at one site reaches the others.
- Brand and governance We align how the group presents itself and what it promises, and hold compliance and risk management to one standard.
- Growing new businesses Work that does not fit inside one operating company, the holding company takes on directly. ClariaSync, the tool we build and use to run our own shops, is the first example.
